Everyone has a certain dream, a wish, hope for a better future. At the NYSA the students are trying to fulfil their dreams, hoping to one day make it big. The school is sorted into several departments: Visual, Music, Musical Theater, Dance, Theater, Writing and Backstage.

Visual is everything you can see, photography, drawing painting and even film. This department is about showing everyone how you see the world. They live just for their art wanting to share their vision with others in the world.


Music is about expressing yourself through music, wheter its with your voice or by the notes from you intruments. These students eat and breath music, its their meaning in life no matter what genre it is. They all want to make it big and perfrom on the big stages.


Dance
Dance is a art in need of discipline, the students train hard to master every step and move. Watching their weight, keeping their muscles strong, trusting their partners. Every genre of dance is taught, from hip-hop to ballet and the students learn them all. Trying to become famous by translating the music to movement.


Writing
A pen is a writers best friend, these students never go anywhere without a pen and notebook. Inspiration is everywhere and these students translate that to words. To inspire others. They keep to themself or got out to meet new people and find new people to write about. They can't wait to get their stories, poetry or others published. Some help the music department with lyrics, that way trying to make it as a songwriter.


Backstage
Backstage is on of the forgotten arts. Everyone knows that there is no show without costumes, light and a stage. The students in the Backstage department do everything from costumedesign is they want to be fashiondesigners or they are taught how to capture someone on stage, how to put them in the spotlight. These students don't mind not being in the spotlight.


Theater
Actors need to be able to handle stress of the theater. Everyone walking everywhere and still knowing when to come on and say your lines. These students want to make it to the big screen or be on broadway.


Musical Theater
Musical theater is one of the newest departments and one of the hardest. These students need to learn dancing, acting and music. They work hard and try everything to make it big, to blow everyone away and show themself at their most vulnerable.

Now the school has added a college. The buidling behind the school had been empty for years and now finally the school was able to transform the old building into a new college. Now the students can finally increase their talents even more, experience even more things in life.

Ofcourse this does mean they'll have to choose, will they go on into college or will they go out into the world trying to find their way around the world and New York. The future is for you to decide.
