Usually the worse the reviews the better I like the blockbusters.
I've been staying in a motel with my Mom in Asheville because my Grandpa has been in the hospital up there so I am behind on my intended movie watching. I'm chomping at the bit to watch the 4th Kind and I still need to see the new NOES along with Clash of the Titans... and of course Iron Man is a definite.

Ohhh yes, I'll be going to the midnight showing of Iron Man 2, as well. I think I've been to about 5 midnight showings in my life. I just watched Nightmare and now it's on to Iron Man.

Nightmare was a good midnight choice

So was Friday the 13th. ;D I even dressed up for that one. I never could have seen myself doing that.

Oh come on! What did you wear? I've always wanted to go to a Star Wars flick and dress out like a fanboy but I never have had the chance really. I did put decepticon stickers on my Jeep for the premiere of Transformers. Spiderman 2 - I just love this movie. It's my favorite of the 3 Spidey films. The scene on the train is my top super hero moment in a movie of all time. The 4th Kind - I jumped 3 times during this one. Once when the first patient started flipping out in the hypnosis, once when my idiot dogs barked into my window (I guess they just wanted to see if I was awake) and then when the being possesed Dr. Tyler. Now there were some moments where they seemed to be trying too hard to be a campy documentary... but I can overlook stuff like that, especially since the subject matter is right up my alley. I truly enjoyed it, thanks Jason.

Awesome. Glad you enjoyed it. It was a pretty good theater experience, too. I thought the acting was really good and convincing. I went as Jason for the opening showing. It made it that much more worth it when I realized nobody else dressed up but me. Everyone was staring when we were waiting in line. A few kids wanted to get a picture, which was interesting!

Awesome! I bet that was fun dressing up like that, I was going to ask if you had a picture.
[[Clash of the Titans 2D]] - Pleasantly surprised, great creatures and visuals. It was silly, but so what?
[[Iron Man 2]] - Marii and I went to the midnight show for my birthday with 2 friends (38 now feels strange). We all had a blast and thought it was as good or better than the first. It had more action yet it still had the tight acting and character quality. I will be seeing it again.

I don't know what it was, but the movie just zoomed by for me. It felt like an hour into the movie, it was over! I'll definitely be seeing it again soon. Iron Man came out on my birthday in 2008, now Iron Man 2 on your birthday.

On a side note, I thought about dressing up as Jason for the Nightmare movie. That would've just been funny.

That's exactly what we were all saying even though it was 2 and a half hours. Did you stay for the bonus scene after the credits? And did you see the new JJ Abrams trailer for [[Super 8]]? I've heard rumors that it might be a prequel or sequel to [[Cloverfield]]. I think it might be a stand alone film - he's doing it with Steven Spielberg too.

I didn't see the previews, or stay for the credits but I definitely will afterward. I should've known there would be something after the credits, but I was out of the theater before anybody.

[[The Hurt Locker]] - By far the best modern war movie I've seen... not that there are really many good ones, but this had a good story and was visually breathtaking at times.
[[Robin Hood]] - Not on the same level as Gladiator, but I enjoyed it at least as much as Master and Commander. It had kind of a slow start, but seemed to get better through to the end.

I've been meaning to head back to the theater to see the Nightmare film and Iron Man 2 again. For now, I've been watching the new films I've bought for dirt cheap.

[[Paul Blart: Mall Cop]] - Wow! what a funny movie. I laughed out loud several times.
[[Zombieland]] - I picked this up cheap on blu-ray the other day on a recommendation by a friend. I absolutely loved it. Now I have to get me one of those hats!

Those are two great movies. Both I own, and both I saw in theaters. Hilarious. Kevin James is awesome and I loved Bill Murray's cameo in Zombieland.
