Hi, Some sites disregard it completely, calling it either power or gothic metal with symphonic elements, but other sites say it's too different from power/gothic and needs a genre of its own. I got a little bit confused with bands like Kamelot and Sirenia who both use choirs and orchestral elements, but neither are labelled as 'symphonic metal'. The same with Epica and Diabulus in Musica - both use choirs, growls and orchestras, yet they're both given different genre labels. Do you think symphonic metal is a genre on its own? Why or why not? I didn't find the right solution from the internet. References: www.nightwishonline.com/index.php?/forums/topic/nxxcn3912-is-symphonic-metal-a-legit-genre/Motion Graphics Intro Examples
