Lightning Bolt - The World's Fastest Man Who would have thought that I'd be on my third Athlete of the Week and still not have a football player here. ;D Well, how can you ignore the new world's fastest man? Usain Bolt injected a sense of excitement into the Olympics just as everyone thought it would get boring without Michael Phelps. His showboating during his first gold medal run made me think of Deion Sanders in his prime. It also got the stuffy Olympic officials stirred up as one of them issued a statement chastising Bolt for not following some sort of unknown code - in my opinion a lame attempt at shifting the focus from the lack of an investigation into China's shady gymnast passports. Kudos to you Lightning Bolt! Celebrate all you want, I for one love to see somebody jubilant when they succeed. He never once taunted his competitors he simply was content being himself during a pinnacle moment in his life. Three races, three gold medals, three world records... not bad Men's 4x100m Relay Final Gold 37.10 (WR) Men's 200m Final Gold 19.30 (WR) Men's 100m Final Gold 9.69 (WR)

Yay!!!! I appreciate that you're not doing mainstream athletes! Good to see some especially from off-the-grid sports like swimming and track. Besides, football season is still fresh... you've got till February to kill us with football players!!! LOL!!!!
