I am really saddened by his death. I grew up with his music, as well. The very first song and music video I ever remember was Thriller. It always scared me half to death whenever I would watch it. I was so darn young. Haha. I've been a pretty big fan of Michael for as long as I can remember. I really will miss him.
On an even sadder note. I went to Michael Jackson's IMDB page at imdb.com and all the topics involving him (that I read at least) were making fun of him. It's so disgraceful.

I'm just trying to ignore all that negative stuff. I was talking with Marii about it just a few minutes ago - how sad society has gotten with this reality show mentality in regard to everything, even somebody's death. If it's not cutting someone down or stirring controversy it doesn't make the news. I would rather focus on the things that make me smile when I think about people who are gone.
Thriller was a good one to break in on... that has to be the greatest video of all time. Though watching MJ dance and light up the tiles on Billie Jean wasn't bad either.

I'm never gonna forget how freaked out Thriller was to me when I was a kid. I'll never forget failing miserably at trying the moonwalk on the linoleum floor, either.

Nobody will probably believe me now but I could do the moonwalk pretty good when I was younger. Break dancing was the craze right as I was the age to be into dancing. I was doing it on the kitchen floor last night and my son was laughing hysterically and Marii got a good chuckle too. I told them that I thought it was pretty good for a crippled dude and that they should give me some respect. My son just looked at me and then walked off... Marii continued to chuckle and even started imitating the goofy way my arms were moving... little did they know it was all part of my evil plan to make them laugh ;D

He was my first crush. I remember crying when my friend said she was going to marry him! We were so young and he was so cool and cute... I was hooked. I remember my cousin playing the drums to his Micheal Jackson tapes! I love all of his songs - I have no favorite. I always wanted to meet him and be his friend... he had such a sad life, dispite the fame and fortune. Of course I don't approve of what he was accuesed of, but I am not without sin... so I have no right to cast the first stone. Anyway, I always loved him (but I would never allow my son to go to neverland without me there every second).
I suppose God was whispering to my heart a couple of weeks before Micheal died because I felt like I should pray for him.

I would hope our son never would have need of going to Neverland to spend personal time with MJ. Those kids had cancer or a similarly chronic disease. We'll never know for sure what he did or didn't do, but I for one don't believe that he mistreated any kids.

Neither do I, MIB. I still need to see This Is It before it leaves the theater.

I thought he might be guilty at first, but then he was tried twice and came out innocent and all of the accusers were after money. I guess we'll never know for sure, but I just don't believe it anymore.
We saw "This is It" and it was pretty good. I think everyone leaves the theater wondering what it would have been like to see the finished concert.
