Yeah! We've got a Big Lots over here. I've picked up a few films over there in the past. I recently picked up the 2 DVD package of I Know What You Did Last Summer and I STILL Know...
They're collection isn't very wide, though. They have, maybe, 50 movies that fluctuate from time to time. When I'm low on cash and craving a new movie, I'll usually stop in and see what they have.
Updated! 01-08-10 My Dinner With Andre (1981)
I haven't seen this film yet, but the reviews are great and I watched the first few minutes of the film online.
The film is very simple. It involves two men, having a dinner together at a restaurant discussing events in their lives (actual events involving the actors). It's basically just a 110 minute long, philosophical conversation between two actors, which I feel is a film I need to see for myself. It seems I haven't gotten in touch with that side of myself lately.

Don't get me started on that stuff lol... I usually drive what friends I have left off because I start getting philosophical on everything. It happens when you spend 95 percent of your time at home alone. Heck, I often think I get too wordy on the forums, but it's good to talk to people sometimes, whether they read it or not.
They hardly ever have any movies at all at the Big Lots here, but they just got a shipment of closeout stuff and have a zillion now.

You can never get too wordy on forums. It gives those who don't understand, time to figure out the things you're saying ;D Nice!! I haven't been to Big Lots in a few weeks. Hopefully the same thing happened here. I'm going to pick this bad boy up as soon as it's released. I was JUST about to buy the original DVD, but seeing that there's a new Special Edition, I'll be picking that one up... I haven't even seen this movie yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Wolf Man (1941)

Sort of changing the subject, but I noticed how Big Lots will have like half their stuff at great prices, maybe a quarter of it at regular prices and then you'll come across a few things that cost so much it will cause you swear out loud. I wonder if they do that to catch older people off guard who are filling up their carts and paying no attention to the prices because they are thinking since it's Big Lots everything is cheap.

I've never noticed anything like that! Haha. Probably because the Big Lots I go to only has 50 DVDs. I noticed a few of the I Know What You Did Last Summer movie packs had $8 stickers on them, and one didn't. So I decided to take that one and see what they did.... I got out with it for 6 bucks. ;D

I thought it was pretty interesting! I saw it in theaters last year, so I'd need to refresh my memory, but from what I remember, I really enjoyed it

Updated! 01-16-10 The Thing (1982) - I'm really excited about this one. I always pass this one by at Best Buy, always contemplating buying it, then I go home and regret not getting it. I hope it's half as good as it's reviews.
01-17-10 Casino Royale (1967) - Another one I'm excited about. Peter Sellers is hilarious and I can't wait to see his humor on the bond films. WOO!! Garfield and Friends: Behind The Scenes: I never knew Jim Davis even made a cartoon about this. Spotted it for 3.99. Had to get it.
01-18-10 Frailty (2001) Arachnophobia (1990)
P.S.: I got a couple of postcards from a local pilot trucker station off the freeway a few minutes from my house. I couldn't decide which to get, so I got both. ;D Still trying to pick up some cool things here and there to send with the postcards.

Definitely cool about the postcards! It's not often I get postcards actually sent... make sure to write something stupid on them or something... it all adds to it lol... I always make the state park gift shop people stamp the backs of the ones I buy there with their park passport stamp. They just look at me like the weirdo I am. ;D
You haven't seen The Thing??? Whoa, I think you are in for a serious treat. That's one of the coolest movies ever! Me and a couple of friends were talking about it the other night. One of them hadn't seen it and we were talking it up to him... enjoy it.

01-18-10 Observe and Report (2009) - Picked this one up late last night.
I watched John Carpenter's Vampires last night. That film was really good! The Thing will probably be next.

Updated! 01-28-10
Frankenstein (1931) - I got this sucker, the 75th Anniversary Edition, off of Amazon for 2.97! Plus 2.99 for shipping. Is that not a freakin' deal?? I wouldn't be surprised if I only received a picture of the DVD in the mail instead of the DVD itself. ;D
Tropic Thunder (2008) - This was a fun movie. I passed it by quite a bit, but when I saw it on sale for 4.99, I decided to get it.

I watched Tropic Thunder on my last trip to Florida on my mp3 player. I almost stopped watching it after the first few minutes because I thought it was going to suck... but I stuck with it and actually enjoyed it.

The first few minutes looked pretty stupid, for sure. I loved Robert Downey Jr.'s character (or character's). He's what made the movie so enjoyable for me.
