Do you believe you have come in contact with a ghost or spirit? Please tell us about it.

There have been several instances in my life where I believe I saw or witnessed what I only can describe as a ghost. I'm not going to tell you that I know for sure or even that I know what a ghost really is. All I know is that there are definitely things that we don't yet understand... and surely some that we may not want to understand.
For this thread I'll start with the first time I experienced what I believe was a spirit: Fourteen years before my birth my parents tried to start a family. My Mom carried her first pregnancy all the way through and my older brother David was born. He died when he was only hours old and the doctors told my parents that they could not have anymore children. Well, just my being here to tell you this is proof that the doctors were wrong.
I was about four years old when I first learned that I had an older brother. I was at the age where I had figured out what it means to die and I asked my parents all sorts of questions about David. They explained what happened as best they could to a four year old, but I was still upset about the sibling that I could never get to know. My Mom wore a charm bracelet which held a charm of a little boy's head with David engraved on it. She took me to his grave, showed me the bracelet and told me he was in Heaven where I would see him someday.
One night not too long after that I was asleep on my bed. I had been thinking of David a lot and wondering all the things such as a child would wonder about a brother who had died. I was startled wide awake by a loud swishing sound in - much like a stiff gust of wind would make. There was a small, white object circling around my room right where the wall met the ceiling. Although it was totally dark I could see the object clearly even though it gave off no light at all.
I immediately got the sensation that this was my brother David. I felt a complete sense of peace and was content in knowing that David was happy and in a good place. I have never worried about him anymore since that night.

Well, you know I have.
When I was about 14 or so, my mom and I slept in the same room, in twin beds (right beside each other of course) - though I don't remember why at this point. Anyway, one night I just woke up. I looked at the foot of my bed and I saw something green. The more I looked at it, the more it came to look like the form of a Revolutionary soldier (the American Revolution, that is), complete with musket and tri-corn hat. I stared at it a while, then closed my eyes. When I opened them, it was still there, in the same exact spot. I don't know how long it was there, but finally I just closed my eyes hoping it would go away. I guess I went back to sleep, but I never forgot that.

Never happened to me. I thought I saw something once when I was playing around in a water tunnel but it was just a light in the dark and an optical illusion....

I see a lot of things like that where they kind of startle me a bit before I realize it's just a reflection or something. I wear glasses so I see a lot of reflections in them that can look really strange at times.

In Bella's situation I don't know if I could resist without screaming... I'd probably hide covering myself with all the blankets and remain very still... ...humm...that sounds chicken...

Nah, it sounds sane, Zenobia! lol
I've just always been interested in ghostly things - especially when I was a kid!
