Use this thread to post any weather related stuff. (I love weather) I just checked out the path of newly formed Tropical Storm Fay. They are saying it will be a hurricane soon. If it follows the projected path on this chart the eye will be directly over us next Friday. We sure need the rain but I don't want to ever see anything like Hurricane Ivan again.

So you live right on the coast Z? Do you get many big storms there?

Yes it's near the coast, but I don't have the beach at my door, unfortunately, let's say it takes about 30/45 minutes driving to get there.
We don't have big storms here, sometimes it rains a lot in winter and there are places who flood very quickly, low villages around the rivers, but it usually only causes material damage, it's no big deal. But we do have a lot of wind around here...

Today is sunny and 84 degrees. Quite warm but we have actually had a mild summer so I can not complain.

Yes, we are finally getting some rain here too. All of these tropical systems have changed our weather patterns. I sure hope hurricane Ike doesn't hit Texas too hard, but it is looking bad.

Wow! Hurricane Ike is really hammering Texas. Those people are in my prayers... I really feel for them. Looks like it's going to be another Katrina, damage wise. I sure hope the people are safer than in Katrina.
