Tim Burton is a genius. I'll probably see everything he's ever going to make. I remember when a spokesperson for all kinds of kids movies came to my school back in 2000 or so. I was about 12. I don't remember it too well, but they had so many of the actual figures used in movies. I actually got to see the real Jack Skellington!! Haha.

OK, I finally took a break from football and anime long enough to watch a few movies. [[Futureworld]] - The odd sequel to [[Westworld]] It's funny that Yul Brenner was such a big draw back then that they put him on the cover even though he was only in the film for about 2 minutes in a dream sequence. [[Gator]] - The old Burt Reynolds movie... yeah, I know it's sort of silly, but I saw in the theater with my Mom when I was a kid and I have a soft spot for it. Besides that I've done some kayaking in the Okefenicantspellit Swamp. [[9]]- Already mentioned that. [[City of Ember]] - This one surprised me. I thought I'd like it, I actually loved it. Very smart movie that will (should) keep the kids interested too... never seen Bill Murray in that kind of role, but he can do pretty much anything. [[Body of Lies]] - With Leo and Russel Crowe - This was really cool... good stuff if you're into learning more about what's happening in the Middle East, yet not as depressing as Jarhead or Syriana. This one was a blu ray and it looked freakin great... maybe the clearest HD picture I've seen.

Darn it, MIB. Haven't gotten to see 9 just yet. A little low on money this week. Definitely going within the week for sure!
Bruce Almighty - Haven't seen this movie in quite awhile. Jim Carrey is always entertaining.
Rope - yet another Alfred Hitchcock classic. This guy is a genius. Easily my favorite director of all time. Every movie I've seen I've absolutely loved!!!
My Bloody Valentine 3D - It's just not the same in 3D as the theaters. Actually it's kinda painful on the eyes. I had to take the glasses off and flip the disc to the 2D version. Great movie with a great ending.
Spies like Us - There's never been a Chevy Chase movie I haven't bursted out laughing at. The classroom exam scene always cracks me up.
A Nightmare On Elm Street - What? It's Halloween season!! Time to watch all kinds of horror! An instant classic, here. Wish I would've seen it for the first time when I was a lot younger. I first saw it when I was about 15. Didn't do much with the scare factor. :/ Still a fantastic film
A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge - No sequel is ever going to match the original in this series. This one proved it. Although pretty entertaining, it doesn't hold a candle to the original. Still, an overall entertaining sequel.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - This one was a little goofy. I think I preferred the 2nd over the 3rd. Good to see Heather Langenkamp back for more, though!!

Ha, as long as I took to watch the last one take as long as you want... I think it works out good like this anyway then we don't feel rushed into it. We both seem to like to be in the right mood for the right movie. Only doing one every few weeks will probably keep us at it longer.
The Spies Like Us song was awesome too! Here's the video, it's got all sorts of scenes from the movie (like good movie songs used to have instead gangsta bootie shakin everywhere hehe). Chevy and Dan are in the video too, it's just like the Beatles... except not.

Mystic River - Second time I've seen this. Still want the movie! Great acting! Though I'm not a fan of Sean Penn.
Dial M For Murder - Genius movie. There's so many details in this film to soak in. Which makes me eager to watch it sooner than other films!

He's Just not That Into You - Interesting take on relationships! Good to watch every now and then.
Zombieland - This movie was really funny. A lot better than I expected.
9 - Tim Burton's at it again. Not his best work, in my opinion, but this one was very entertaining. I'm really glad he's back to making films like these again.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master - No sequel will beat the original, but this one was one of my favorite sequels.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child - This one leaves you a bit lost at first, but it explains how he gets into Alice's dreams while she's awake.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare - Not one of the great Freddy sequels, but you learn a bit more about Freddy in this one
New Nightmare - As a movie, New Nightmare was great, but as a Freddy sequel, I don't like it so much. It takes away everything from the entire Nightmare series.
Now for the Friday the 13th series!!

Friday the 13th - It's been so long since I watched the Friday, Nightmare and Halloween series. Friday the 13th is such a great movie. Better since the last time I watched it.
The Unborn - Average. Kinda what I expected, but pretty entertaining for a new horror flick.
The Hills Run Red - I think this went straight to DVD this year. I haven't rented movies in quite a while, but Stacey and I decided to pick this one up along with The Unborn, Scanners and Doubt. The Hills Run Red was fantastic. It was off to a pretty slow start and seemed to be an average new-age horror flick, but what a turn around. It turned into a new-age Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I recommend checking this one out. Super glad we picked this one up.

Doubt - Meryl Streep and Phillip Seymour Hoffman are two great actors and possibly among the best of this generation. I loved their performance here. I just wish the movie went a little further with the plot. It feels like there was a lot of film missing! Trick 'R Treat - I've waited for quite some time for this movie to come out. I didn't know it was going straight to DVD. I'm a little bummed. I ended up renting it and it is fantastic!! It had the horror spirit of Creepshow and Tales From The Crypt blended in with a bit of evil humor. I loved it. I need to pick this one up on DVD sometime! Friday the 13th II - What a great follow up to the original. I almost forgot why I loved this series so much. Probably the best series in horror~ Friday the 13th III - Another great sequel. Each film makes me more eager for the next! I'm glad there are so many sequels. 7 to go!!

Glad you finally got to see 9 Jason.
I really enjoyed it, but I thought the ending was bad. Not poor enough for me to give the movie a low score, but dissappointing considering the quality of the effects and voice acting and story up to that point. Overall had a great time because my kid liked it a lot.

The ending really was a bit weird, but the effects were fantastic! My favorite part of the film, for sure. Did hate to see #2 go. :/

Friday the 13th IV: The Final Chapter - Another great sequel. This one gives the original a run for it's money.
Friday the 13th V: A New Beginning - Not the best in the series, but very entertaining for sure.

Friday the 13th VI: Jason lives - Easily my favorite Jason movie. I love C.J. Graham's portrayal of Jason.
Paranormal Activity - I never thought I'd get to see the day that I could say I've seen a movie that came halfway near as terrifying as The Exorcist. Last night, I saw the 10:25 PM showing of Paranormal Activity. This movie was hyped up to be one of the most terrifying movies in film history. Guess what? It was. I didn't allow myself to read many revealing reviews about it. I wanted to go in quite a bit clueless, which was perfect! The small reviews that I did read said that there were people sitting next to them in the theater with their eyes closed for more than half the movie. People ran out of the theater crying. Grown men and women! That's what sold me. I just read that Steven Spielberg was so terrified that he had to stop the movie halfway through. Yes. Steven Spielberg. WHAT A FILM. WHAT. A. FILM. I was losing so much faith in the horror industry.

Friday the 13th VII: The New Blood - A pretty interesting sequel. I loved the opening introduction to Jason, but something didn't feel too right in this one. It kinda lost the campy feel.
Friday the 13th VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - Oy... This is where the series gets a little too upsetting as a Jason fan. He doesn't belong in Manhattan.
The Stepfather (2009) - Not bad! Some very gripping scenes! Makes me want to see the original even more!

The Haunting - This movie is very underappreciated. I never hear much about this movie. It seems relatively unknown and I don't know why. It's one of the scariest movies of all time!
Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday - This film had it's ups and downs. There are things I would change, but things I admire. Overall decent film.
Jason X - Worst sequel since Halloween: Resurrection. With characters like these, it's almost impossible to side against Jason.
Halloween - This film gets better and better every single time I watch it. This set the mark for all slasher films. An INSTANT classic.
The Funhouse - This film was a little better than I thought. It's almost like a far more superior House of 1,000 Corpses film. Tobe Hooper has a very interesting style

Paranormal Activity - Very nice! What an intense film, way better than Blair Witch, but that's not saying much in my opinion lol... There was a girl sitting by herself near us and towards the end she actually jumped out of her chair gasping and never sat back down she ran straight down the aisle and out the door. I was lmao of course. I won't lie, that scene with the footprints had me shaking a little bit, I never really get scared at a movie. Makes me want to drag out the old Exorcist and watch it... in fact I will this week lol... The Sentinel - Not bad, definitely worth watching once. Hancock - Just a plain good movie to me. We are headed off to see MJ's - [[This is It]] tonight. Marii is a big MJ fan and I'm looking forward to it too. I love the poster!
