Pepper salmon with broccoli and parsley potatoes (w/parsley dried and ground by me) ... and it was as good as it looks 1. Lay 2 salmon fillets on tinfoil in a baking pan 2. Put a pat of butter between the fish and the foil (no need to spread - let it melt into fish) 3. Also a pat of butter on top of each fillet (no need to spread) 4. Sprinkle a pinch of salt to each 5. Add black pepper as much as desired Bake uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes depending on the thickness of fillets. Salmon is done as soon as it will flake with a fork and will get over done almost instantly so check at 11 minutes. Topping choices when done:Salmon is wonderful with lemon Cocktail and Tartar sauce can be OK, but for a new idea with salmon try lightly dipping a bite in Heinz 57 sauce (that's my favorite way to eat it).

That really does look good. I, myself, have been buying top sirloin steaks and making them at home. They taste just as good as a restaurant steak for about a tenth of the price.

I've become one like crazy. I saw a steak one day very cheap. I decided to buy it and cook it. It was delicious. Now I'm hooked. I've had, probably, 20 steaks this month alone.

Salmon is definitely much better for you than a buttery steak. ;D
But a big fat juicy steak is good for the SOUL!!!

That must be true. I used to make a steak at a restaurant - just for the employees... I marinated it with a sauce made from beer, soy sauce, black pepper and fresh onion. I blackened it and usually served it medium rare. One girl dubbed it "The Divine Ribeye" and the name stuck. It became so popular that the next year we put it on the menu - minus the beer - I added a bit of Worcestershire instead. I spent more time making that darned sauce as everyone would get my bottles of it and put it on everything from burgers to fries and baked potatoes.
I don't make those anymore because they are easy to get off a restaurant grill, but will nearly destroy any pan I have at home. When making steaks at home now I usually do prime rib - it's good and it's easy - perfect for lazy, hungry people like me.

That's awesome! The only food restaurant I ever worked for was KFC and nobody ever complimented my chicken. The only accomplishment I have is for fastest chicken prepared and cooked. 1:03!!! For steak, all I do is put in a little bit of butter on the pan, cook it and eat it. No sauce needed.

Nothing wrong with that. It's my favorite way to have steak. Butter is perfect for it. I like to get the pan really hot so it sears good and butter it up and throw it on. I like to sprinkle a little black pepper, salt and garlic on it. Sometimes I like A1 sauce and sometimes not.
What do you like with your steaks? I guess my favorite is grilled peppers and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy. And a close second is steamed zuccini.
Crap, now I'm hungry and it's 2 am.

When I make a steak, I'm usually lazy and only make the steak. Ever since I was a kid, I've had this unimaginable love for peas and ranch. I'm not a big ranch dressing fan, at all, really. But when I go to Sizzler or Hometown Buffet, I get pounds of that to go with my steak or ribs.

Dang it, now I'm going to have to crawl my lazy butt out here sometime this week and get me a steak. Probably from O'Charleys... they have a great ribeye they serve with garlic butter.
Just green peas and ranch dressing, or some other kind of peas? That doesn't sound too bad. I like peas alot.

Just regular green peas, served cold in the salad bar area. That's one meal that I have never gotten sick of, one time. I can't explain it. I've loved it for as long as I can remember. I'm amazed at how cheap store bought steaks are for the quality that the steak actually is. I buy 2 steaks in 1 pack. Depending on the weight, it averages around 3.50 for a pack of 2 steaks. COMPLETELY worth it. I can't help but feel like I'm taking a few years out of my life. ;D What a way to go, though.

Lol, hey listen. I have never smoked, I don't drink, I've never done drugs. I played multiple sports in school. I've always been a hiker, bicyclist and kayaker. I've taken vitamins and mostly just drink water. I always kept myself in great condition lifting weights and working out... everything the doctor ordered right? WTF? look where it got me ;D
You enjoy that steak and don't look back.

I'm probably gonna come back to this topic and read what you said a million times. I'm the same way, too, though! I've never smoked once in my life. Never even a puff. I do drink, but once in a blue moon. I've never done drugs. I also played sports in High School (baseball). Trained in kickboxing for a great deal of time and workout regularly. Whether it be lifting weights, or playing sports. My problem? I drink Coke like there's no tomorrow. I've cut back a bit, lately. But I'll usually drink a 44oz Coke every day. At least 44 ounces. It's just SO GOOD!!!!! My main goal, and I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, is to become a professional mixed martial artist. I would love, just as much as chasing tornadoes, to be a fighter in the top organizations. I'm hoping to soon begin training, again. Joe Stevenson has his own gym and I'm thinking about training there. I'm very picky, though, and I think that's going to benefit me greatly in where I choose to train. I know quite a bit about the sport already and I want to join with people I can get along with, a great atmosphere and where trainers train me properly, to the fullest extent. Hell, it's my only real shot at an actual job now, right? I invested hundreds of dollars in getting my security license and look where that got me. I guess you really do gotta live life to the fullest and stop sweating the small stuff. (A 44 ounce Coke sure is big, though. )

That's a big Coke ;D A lot better than the other kind of coke though.
Marii's older brother Adam is/was a fighter. He has his own gym in Atlanta now. He has had it pretty rough I guess. He was really good (as their family is at everything they do lol) and got as far as being the southern region's Golden Glove champion, even fighting once on ESPN. But, just as his career was about to take off he had heart problems. He had heart surgery in Cleveland and got an artificial valve. Now he isn't supposed to fight at all. So he opened a gym.
That would be awesome for you to get into. I hope you find a good place. Be picky, but keep looking and something will surely turn up where you fit right in.
