For my special undertaking for this board, I've decided to do book reviews. But instead of reviewing the books I choose, I'd like to be introduced to some of the books that our members like. Every two weeks, I will pick a book suggested by a member, read it, then review it. I'm hoping that by using this method, I'll be introduced to some new authors and genres and hopefully get into some stuff I never would have found on my own. To see an example of a book review, please see the thread titled The Historian in the general area of The Hole Library. Please use this thread to suggest some of your favorite books, or books you'd like to read, and I will offer up my humble opinion. *Please remember when suggesting books (especially one that you really like) that I will give the review from my point of view. While I may not like the book, I will never be disrespectful of the author, the book, or the person that suggested it. If you disagree with my opinion, feel free to respond, in a respectful manner.

I've just bought Twilight (S. Meyer)- you talked so much bout it and I got curious hihihih Can you talk a little about the story and the following books (Eclipse and New Moon I guess).... are they the continuation from the initial book? Is Breaking Down also from the Twilight saga? - I saw it on the shelf next to to the others...

Well Sis, you know I've always told you to try [[Ender's Game]]... I expect you won't be dissappointed.

Hahahaha. I was waiting on that, MIB. However, since I just reread the first two books in the Twilight series, I'm going to honor Zenobia's request for this edition. So be looking for a review of Twilight, coming soon. Maybe even tonight.....................

Lol, that's OK. But, I still advise you to get into [[Ender's Game]]... you know I think it is the greatest novel ever written and I hate for you to miss out on it... I was only thinking of you ;D

I let this one go a bit long since I haven't had many replies, but since MIB put Ender's Game up for nomination, I guess that'll be my next one. Will have to go and buy it, so I probably won't have a review up until the end of the week (providing that I have time to read - sometimes it's in short supply around here).

Hey, I turned you on to the Hitchhikers Guide didn't I? I'll mail you a copy of Ender's Game if you can't get it at the library.

Hmmm... may have to take you up on that. Was going to buy it, but it was either the book or milk for Sadie... not much of a choice, you know. So still haven't gotten it, but I promise I'll get my hands on it and review it soon.

Star of Gypsies - Robert Silverberg
A really great book that grew on me more and more as I read it. I love books like that as opposed to ones that start with a bang and fizzle to a stop. The main character is as real and rich as any fantasy character I've ever been introduced too and by the end I felt like I knew him.
It's part fantasy and part space opera... I can't promise you'd like it Bella because it might be one of those tales that really appeal to some and not to others.
Lol, I can mail you this one too if you can't find it at the library.
